Weekly Reflection: A Thousand Plus One is One
A Thousand Plus One is One After chasing a thousand things, I could see they were all the same. After breaking a thousand more, I could see that I needed to enter the break. After entering the break, I could see the heart in every- thing. Now, I can look at a thousand waves and know it is one sea. And feel a thousand feelings and know it is one life. And hear a thousand notes and know it is one song. I can listen to a thousand thoughts and know they arise from one ungrasp- able truth. So, touch any hand and feel all there is to touch and know it is one love. A Question to Walk With: In your journal, explore how do you understand the relationship between the many and the One, between the particular and the Universal, between the truth of one soul and the truth of all souls. This is from my book of poems in progress, In the Clearing.
